At 8 am on July 1, a grand gathering to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing. XI Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech. The Party Committee of the Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Provincial Hospital) organized party members and cadres throughout the hospital to listen and watch the speech.

　　Leaders of the Hospital, secretaries of General Party Branch, secretaries of Party Branch, the directors and deputies of the administrative departments, the section chiefs, and the deputy section chiefs in charge of the work went to the central and east districts of the hospital to listen and watch the speech. Each party branch organized its own party members to listen and watch the speech in a fixed place.

　　General Secretary Xi Jinping looked back with deep feeling on the glorious course of the CPC's 100-year struggles and looked forward to the bright future of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　He solemnly declared that with the sustained efforts of the whole Party and the people of all ethnic groups in China, we have achieved the first centenary goal, completed the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects on the land of the People's Republic of China, historically resolved the problem of absolute poverty, and are moving forward with high spirit toward the second centenary goal of building a great modern socialist country in all respects.

　　The important speech of General Secretary echoed among all party members and cadres of the Hospital. Everyone said that they would always strictly demand themselves according to the standards of Communist Party members, remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind, strengthening "Four Consciousnesses", firming "Four Self-Confidence", achieving "Two Safeguards", and striving to carry forward the noble quality and noble spirit of firm faith, performing the mission, hard work and dedication, honesty and devotion, contributing wisdom and strength to a stronger hospital and a healthy Shandong.
